Vietnam Weather in February
Vietnam is a country with more than 2000 miles of coastline and three different weather systems. Because of differences in latitude and the marked variety in topographical relief, the Vietnam weather tends to vary considerably from place to place.
February in Vietnam is the month of the most unpredictable weather.
Mountainous Far North
The climate in Sapa and Vietnam’s far north-west is divided into two seasons: the dry season runs from October to late March and the wet season runs from April to September.
Vietnam weather in February in the North is characterized by cool and occasional light rain, may remain anywhere from cool to cold for another while. If you want to trek to rural Northern mountain, make sure temperature in places like Sapa can drop to near 0 point. The best months to travel in the north-east (Ha Giang) is during the dry season, from October to April.
Hanoi, Halong and North Vietnam has a distinct winter and summer
season. The cool but mostly dry winter lasts from November to April when
temperatures average 17-22°C with the coldest months being January,
February and March.
In Central Vietnam, the dry season started in January-February with
pleasantly warm and dry weather. Temperature in Hue, Da Nang and Hoi An
ranges between 22 and 32°C.
North of Nha Trang can get cool weather.
The average temperatures in the south range between 25 - 35°C year
round. Those living in Ho Chi Minh City would see much sun and warm
weather for most of the days in February. Temperature in Ho Chi Minh
City and Nha Trang ranges between 28 and 35. If you love the sun
and beach, go south!
